SPEAKERS

We invite data scientists that would like to give a presentation to submit their abstract

before 9th of March 2021 – 16:00 (CET). See CALL FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS – SPEAKERS for the abstract submission rules.

When sending your proposal, please name the file as follows: ‘[speaker-name] – [title of talk]’.

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

  • The presenting author should get approval by their manager, lead and/or their appointed public relation person (please check with your bank)

  • An author may submit more than 1 abstract. However, we will not accept more than 2 talks per author.

  • Abstract acceptance or rejection will be notified by email by March 30th. 

  • Talks are 30 or 60 minutes. Workshops are 90 minutes. Please leave enough room for questions.
  • Please, follow the provided template for your abstract submission. 

  • Abstract title is limited to 20 words 

  • Abstract text is between 150 – 250 words 

  • The abstract must indicate the problem, objectives, tools/methods, results and conclusions.

  • The submitted abstract should be in English.

  • Authors should still order conference tickets through the website.

 

WORKSHOPS & TRAININGS

 

We also invite data scientists who would like to give a workshop or training to submit their abstract before 9th of March 2021 – 16:00 (CET). The same guidelines apply as for the speaker sessions.

 

Topics we are especially interested in include, but are not limited to:

1. FINANCE/ECONOMICS RELATED OPEN SOURCE LIBRARIES

2. OPEN SOURCE CONTRIBUTIONS

3. EXPLAINABLE AI – APPLICATIONS TO DATA SCIENCE

Please note that, for workshops, the online session material should be easily accessible by the participants and the session environment would be ideally accessible by a web interface. Workshops or trainings that require downloading applications or data will not be accepted due to differing company policies.
