Jesse Hammond

Dr. Jesse Hammond, Ph.D., is a research and data scientist with over a decade of experience in quantitative storytelling with data. Jesse completed his doctoral studies in Political Science at the University of California at Davis, with a dual emphasis on international relations and social network analysis, and has published multiple peer-reviewed papers showing the benefits of innovative data-analytic models to complex social science questions. Jesse currently works in the RATE Category Squad at Rabobank, helping improve the bank’s transaction categorization engine. His primary interest is in improving data-science product through rigorous research design, ensuring that the insights we generate are transparent, robust, and appropriate to the question being asked.
